A Little Bit About Me And What I Love To Do… *

Magdalena Zaczek is a Polish violinist whose journey through music has been nothing short of inspiring. Born into a family of folk musicians, Magdalena's love for music blossomed at an early age. She began her musical studies on the piano but found her true passion for the violin at the age of seven.

Magdalena received her secondary education in Katowice, Poland, where she developed her skills through rigorous training and numerous competitions. Driven by an ambition to study abroad, she moved to the United States to attend the prestigious San Francisco Conservatory of Music. During her third year at the Conservatory, Magdalena’s exceptional talent was recognized with the esteemed Presser Foundation Scholarship, awarded to her as a testament to her outstanding musical accomplishments.

In addition to her violin pursuits, Magdalena always harbored a dream of becoming a singer. She made significant progress toward this goal by participating in Poland's celebrated program The Voice of Poland. Her versatility as a performer allowed her to seamlessly blend classical, contemporary, and popular music genres, establishing herself as a multifaceted artist.

Throughout her studies, Magdalena has collaborated with world-renowned artists, including Andrea Bocelli, The Eagles, Aerosmith, and Smokey Robinson. Her work with esteemed organizations like Netflix, Fever, and Elan Artists has showcased her adaptability and professionalism. She has performed at San Francisco's iconic Candlelight Concerts and graced countless weddings, private events, and corporate functions with her artistry.

From a classical perspective, Magdalena has played with acclaimed ensembles such as the Monterey Symphony, Ballet West in Utah, and the Berkeley Symphony. She also served as lead violinist for The Queen's Ball: A Bridgerton Experience, performing over 70 shows to critical acclaim.

Magdalena's collaborations extend beyond the stage; she has performed alongside San Francisco violinist Rose Crelli, where she combined her violin playing with vocal performances. Her resilience and dedication have cemented her reputation as a dynamic foreign violinist who overcame obstacles to achieve her dreams.

 Fun Facts

  • I always cook while listening to music. My favourites are Laufey and Norah Joes. It inspires me and makes me creative, even in the kitchen :)

  • I would travel anywhere to see Jacob Collier perform! I also dream about seeing live performances of Esperanza Spalding and Cynthia Erivo

  • If you hand me a mic at a karaoke night I’d sing a Disney movie ballad or a favourite number from a musical!

  • I have a dachshund named Henio. He might be small, but he thinks he’s the king of the house :)
